Visit one of the Wonders of the world - stunning by its monumental ty city in a rock – Petra.

Petra or The Rose City was established earlier than 312 BC. All architecture of the city is carved from the rocks. Petra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985 and it’s one of 7 Wonders. Petra was the capital of the ancient Nabataean civilization.

The pleasant and comfortable trip to Petra will lie from Sharm to Nuweiba by air conditioned bus. Nuweiba is a coastal town on the Gulf of Aqaba. After stop in Nuweiba you’ll continue your journey by big speed ferryboat to Aqaba. Here on the coast you could have a panoramic view on 3 countries – Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia. You’ll use a bus again on the way by Wadi Rum desert to Petra.

You’ll enter the city through the Siq, the main road that leads to the city through split rock, one part of it is natural and another is sculptured, starts from the Dam and ends at the Treasury. The Treasury (Al Khazna) decorated with Corinthian capitals, friezes, figures. The purpose of the Treasury is unclear: some archaeologists believed it to be a temple, while others thought it was a place to store documents.

When you pass the Treasury, the Siq begins to widen gradually as it reaches into an open area. On both sides, there are a number of decorated Nabataean burial – it’s The Street of Facades. You’ll see some different Tombs – The Urn Tomb (The Court), the Silk Tomb, The Corinthian Tomb etc. At the end of walking excursion you’ll discover a view on the Theatre and visit one of the largest Petra’s monuments – the Monastery.

Hearty lunch and rest after a long walk will await you in one of cozy and welcoming restaurants in Petra.

Then you’ll take the path in reverse order on the ferry and bus back to the hotel.
