At the beginning of excursion your language speaking guide wiill take you from the resort by real desert ship – a comfortable large air-conditioned jeep. You’ll start riding through the desert to reach the Saint Catherine Monastery.
The Greek Orthodox monastery of the God-trodden Mount Sinai was built between 548 and 565 AD. According to legend it’s located at the very place where God appeared to Moses in the Burning Bush, beneath the Mount of the Decalogue.
During your visit to the Monastery you’ll be shown the Burning Bush (latin: Rubus Sanctus) mentioned in the Book of Exodus. It was on fire without any damage by frame when God appeared to Moses and gave him a charge to withdraw the Israelites out of Egypt and into Canaan. This Holy Bush was later transplanted several yards away to a courtyard of the monastery, and its original spot was covered by a chapel dedicated to the Annunciation, with a silver star marking where the roots of the bush had come out of the ground.

Then you’ll continue trip by jeep through Wadi Rum Desert up to Colored Canyon.
The Canyon is above 800 m long. The route is easy and amazing to hike even for children, but keep your hands free to have opportunity to climb and squeeze. Experienced guide will show you the best pathways and the most beautiful places in structure of the Canyon. Sometimes you’ll find yourself like walking by dry riverbed as it’s really created by the erosion of water upon sandstone and limestone. You’ll passing by rocks that radiate crystalline colors or have metallic shine and others that have a smooth soft appearance. In some places its walls narrow, forming a tunnel with a mysterious atmosphere. Perhaps there live the ancient spirits of the desert!
